Job Summary

The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea Council is seeking a highly skilled Business Continuity Specialist to join our Resilience Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing our business continuity programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain business continuity plans to ensure the continuity of vital services during periods of disruption
  • Conduct business impact analyses to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Train and advise staff on business continuity procedures and best practices
  • Work closely with staff, partners, and communities to build resilience and ensure effective emergency response plans are established
  • Collaborate with the Resilience Team to develop and implement emergency response plans

Requirements

  • Significant practical experience in a business continuity role
  • Knowledge of the Civil Contingencies Act 2004
  • Ability to work autonomously and set priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond to emergencies as part of the on-call rota
