Job Title: Emergency Planner

Join National Nuclear Laboratory as an Emergency Planner and contribute to the development of emergency response plans and exercises that ensure the safety and security of our facilities and personnel.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans and exercises that meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential risks and threats to our facilities and personnel.
  • Conduct training and coaching to ensure that emergency response teams are equipped to respond effectively in the event of an emergency.
  • Ensure that emergency equipment and facilities are maintained in a state of readiness and that all necessary procedures are in place.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support operations and deliver the exercise schedule.
Essential Criteria:
  • Detail-oriented and able to work to stringent deadlines within a regulated environment.
  • Ability to obtain SC level security clearance.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Experience working in a regulated environment.
  • Experience in emergency planning or a related field.
  • Level 4 qualification in an emergency planning or security discipline.
  • Formal emergency management and planning training.
