The role will play a key part in helping North Northamptonshire Council prepare for emergencies by working within the authority to develop resilience against disruptive events and emergencies.

The role is 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday. After a period of training, you will join an on-call rota that provides 24/7 cover for the council to respond to emergencies that can happen at any time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support in developing and delivering a program of work to improve the state of resilience across the whole council
  • Drive the direction of the council's business continuity efforts through our Business Continuity Steering Group
  • Work with other parts of the council closely to develop their business continuity plans and procedures
  • Help us to manage the authority's response to emergencies and major incidents

Candidates should have sound knowledge of business continuity management systems and have experience developing and maintaining them.

You must be willing to take part in an on-call rota to provide out of hours cover for the authority.
