Job Title: Family Contact Worker

Job Type: Full-time

Location: To be based at a district office or work city-wide depending on service needs and demands.

Hourly Rate: £15 - £18 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Contact Worker to join our team at We Do Social Work. As a Family Contact Worker, you will play a vital role in supervising family time with looked-after children and their families, providing advice and guidance on parenting, and completing observations of family time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise family time with looked-after children and their families
  • Provide advice and guidance on parenting
  • Complete observations of family time
  • Drive children to and from family time when required
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for children and families

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of child development and experience of working with children and their families
  • General understanding of child protection procedures and principles and MCC social work procedures relating to court proceedings
  • Understanding of The Assessment Framework and how their role will contribute to assessments completed under this Framework
  • Willingness to apply for an enhanced CRB check
  • Current driving licence and use of a vehicle
