**HELP US END YOUTH HOMELESSNESS**

**The role**:
We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and youth-focused individual to join our professionals that are working collaboratively with external agencies to reduce family breakdown and prevent young people from having to leave their homes.

As **Family Support and Mediation Worker**, you will work directly with young people (aged 11-25) and their families who are experiencing family difficulties and at risk of homelessness; providing guidance, personalised family support and one-to-one and joint party mediation if appropriate.

You will ensure to improve understanding and communication, reduce conflict and strengthen relationships, amongst other things between the client and their families.

Please note that this job opportunity is offered as a full-time (37.5 hours a week), 12 months Fixed Term contract. **_Kindly_** **_refer to the attached job description for more details. _**

**About you**

You will have excellent communication skills and be committed to the values and ethos of Depaul UK.
- Significant experience working with young people and families in crisis; reflective, creative and solution focused in your approach and committed to working in an assets based way.
- Experience of working independently and managing own caseload; self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks and carry out efficient organisation and administration.
- Experience of carrying out risk and needs assessments and support planning for clients.
