Youth Engagement Specialist

Location: Halifax
Salary: £85 - £100 per day inclusive of holiday pay

Position Overview:
This is a temporary full-time position with an immediate start. The remuneration is contingent upon your experience, training, or qualifications.

Essential Qualifications:
To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:

Recent experience (within the last 2 years) working with children or adolescents, preferably in educational, childcare, youth work, or care environments.


Role Responsibilities:
The Youth Engagement Specialist will be responsible for assisting groups of children with additional needs, including but not limited to ASD, PMLD, MLD, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

Your daily tasks will involve adapting to the needs of pupils to ensure their time in the educational setting is as productive and beneficial as possible.

Your primary goal will be to support these students while monitoring for any signs of distress or triggers.

This SEND institution is located in the Halifax area and is accessible via public transport.

It caters to a diverse group of students with complex learning needs, social and emotional challenges, and behavioral difficulties.

Candidate Requirements:
To be considered for the Youth Engagement Specialist position, candidates should:

Have prior experience working with children or young people in educational, childcare, youth work, or care settings within the last 2 years.

Be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check, registered with the Update Service.
