The Branch Manager is accountable for the comprehensive oversight of the retail location, storage facility, and yard, with a focus on enhancing profitability and safeguarding company resources. This role demands a proactive leader who is committed to achieving excellence as outlined by the directives from Senior Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct a team of up to 20 employees, varying by location.
- Maintain the yard and storage areas in accordance with corporate standards.
- Manage the opening and closing procedures of the retail outlet, ensuring the security of company assets.
- Implement customer service strategies that align with company policies to foster positive relationships with clients.
- Ensure all vehicles are operated and maintained in compliance with company protocols.
- Optimize operational efficiency to reduce unnecessary costs.
- Uphold Health & Safety regulations.
- Drive overall sales performance of the store.
- Provide practical and professional sales guidance to both existing and potential customers.
Required Qualifications
- Proven management experience with a strong capability to mentor, inspire, and lead a team.
- Outstanding organizational and scheduling abilities with a talent for multitasking.
- Highly disciplined with a track record of adhering to company and industry standards.
- Background in the Building Supplies sector and familiarity with contractors is essential.
- Proficient in managing operations within a defined budget.
- Dedication to driving sales and establishing a loyal customer base.
- Ambitious individual with a commitment to achieving high performance.
- Competent in working within a digital environment.
- Excellent customer service capabilities.
- Must be physically able to lift heavy materials.
