About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Manager to join our team at Poundland. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and leading a team of retail professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of retail staff to achieve sales targets and improve customer satisfaction
  • Develop and implement effective store layouts and visual merchandising strategies to drive sales and improve customer experience
  • Monitor and control store inventory, stock levels, and product pricing to ensure maximum profitability
  • Manage store operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, and inventory management
  • Collaborate with the store management team to achieve business objectives and improve store performance
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve store efficiency, reduce costs, and increase sales
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and suppliers to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience in a retail management role, preferably in a similar industry
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and improving customer satisfaction
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and suppliers
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as required
