Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Financial Operations Manager to join our expanding Finance team at EG Group. This role is pivotal in steering the Financial Operations team and collaborating closely with executive leadership.

You will take charge of budgeting, forecasting, and evaluating return on investment for capital expenditure projects and acquisitions. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in enhancing existing reporting frameworks and operational processes. Your responsibilities will also include cross-departmental collaboration to design and implement innovative procedures and workflows within the finance division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate regular reports for various stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
  • Lead the annual budgeting cycle, offering insights based on market trends.
  • Engage in project initiatives such as automation and system enhancements.
  • Prepare and oversee the monthly Board Pack.
  • Collaborate with the Accounts team to analyze monthly performance and key performance indicators by location.
  • Conduct detailed performance reviews at a granular level to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Perform benchmarking analyses at margin and operational expense levels.
  • Identify and address process inefficiencies through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Report on brand partnerships and their return on investment to assist the executive board in future capital expenditure decisions.
  • Provide regular reports and analyses for investors through the Group Finance team.
  • Evaluate and provide feedback on initiatives such as supplier changes or new product introductions.
  • Act as a primary resource for the team, maintaining a positive and solution-oriented attitude.
  • Understand the roles of other analysts within the team and provide support as needed.
  • Develop weekly and monthly dashboards to present clear visuals for non-financial managers.

Candidate Profile

  • At least 3 years of experience in an accounting or similar role.
  • Partially, newly, or fully qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA preferred; QBE candidates will also be considered.
  • Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Financial modeling experience is desirable.
  • Familiarity with Macros, VBA, or SQL is a plus.
  • A logical, determined, and adaptable individual with a strong results orientation.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growing environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Hands-on experience in a multi-site retail environment is advantageous.
  • Capable of managing workload and prioritizing tasks based on urgency.
  • Possess commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Experience with SAP is desirable.
