We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity within our Finance department for a Financial Operations Assistant to join our Head Office. The selected individual will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the Country Finance operations.

This position will involve supervising a team of Senior Finance Managers, who will in turn manage a group of Senior Management Accountants, Management Accountants, and Assistant Management Accountants.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for leading the month-end and year-end audit processes, with a focus on continuous improvement and development of both the team and operational procedures.

You will be expected to serve as a knowledgeable resource within the Country Finance team, guiding the professional growth of both non-qualified and qualified colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support financial management, particularly the Financial Controller.
  • Assist in establishing internal controls and ensuring adherence to regulations and accounting standards.
  • Prepare Statutory Financial Statements.
  • Plan and manage audit processes, including payroll, IFRS16, sales, and month-end reporting.

Local Financial Reporting:

  • Preparation of local financial packs and process oversight.

Reporting Duties:

  • Cash to Revenue analysis, impairment assessments, SAP vs BI comparisons, fuel analysis, business performance reporting, supervisory board updates, annual requests, balance sheet integrity, and cash flow management.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of German GAAP.
  • Expertise in Financial Accounting.
  • Experience in Compliance & Audit Management.
  • Technical Accounting skills.
  • Risk Management proficiency.
  • Finance Systems Expertise.
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.
  • Comprehensive understanding of IFRS16 accounting treatment.
  • Desirable experience in business partnering, financial reporting, and commercial analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, along with experience in SAP and Qube.
