Surgical First Assistant

About the Role

The Surgical First Assistant will perform and assist in all aspects of surgical procedures to an expert level, providing clinical leadership and supervision to surgical teams. This role requires a high level of clinical skill and excellent manual dexterity.

Main Responsibilities

  • Represent the surgical team at Directorate and Professional forums
  • Network with other Trusts providing similar services
  • Develop a culture that is flexible and positive to change

Key Requirements

  • Substantial specialist experience post accreditation
  • Appropriate experience acquired to demonstrate a high level of clinical skill and excellent manual dexterity
  • Current registration with Nursing and Midwifery Council or Health Care Profession Council
