Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Advanced Therapy Technician to join our team in the Emergency Department and Acute Medical Unit. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our therapy services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a team to deliver a therapy service across a 7-day period, including weekends and bank holidays
  • Contribute to the development of our therapy services through in-service training and professional development
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide patient-centered care
  • Assist with patient assessments, treatment plans, and discharge planning
  • Work flexibly over 7 days on a rota basis to meet the needs of our patients
Requirements
  • Experience of working in an acute clinical hospital setting or fast-paced clinical environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of our patients
  • Knowledge and understanding of NHS systems and policies
Desirable Skills
  • Able to remain calm under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of discharge options and ability to contribute to discharge planning
  • Ability to show initiative and be a proactive member of the team
