About the Role

Sugarman Health & Wellbeing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with autism, schizophrenia, and challenging behaviors in their own home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the individual to maximize their independence
  • Provide community support, including outings to town, the park, and visiting their favorite bakery
  • Engage in indoor activities, such as playing video games
  • Promote life skills, such as cooking, washing, and maintaining their home
Requirements
  • Able to attend The Management of Actual or Potential Aggression (MAPA) training
  • Enthusiasm to learn and experience new things
  • Willingness to support the individual's goals and aspirations
  • Ability to work in a team and provide support to colleagues
