Job Summary

The Calvary Health Centre is seeking a highly skilled and organized Reception and Administrative Support Professional to join our team. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the practice team, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing correspondence.
  • Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling appointments as needed.
  • Process and issue prescriptions, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with practice policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive patient information.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and photocopying.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the practice's electronic medical record system and other software applications.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and practice operations.
Requirements
  • Good customer service skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Basic IT skills and experience with electronic medical record systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
