Sanctuary Supported Living is pleased to announce an opportunity for a Support Assistant within our CQC Registered Learning Disabilities Service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist individuals with learning and physical disabilities to enhance their potential and autonomy.
  • Engage in key working with clients to establish personalized care and support plans.
  • Adhere to care plans and maintain detailed care documentation.
  • Deliver high-quality, individualized care services, including personal care and medication management.
  • Support clients with daily routines, including personal hygiene and dressing.
  • Facilitate community engagement for clients, including trips to local amenities and appointments.
  • Encourage social interaction to combat isolation and promote a positive atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with clients and team members to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Implement safe practices and conduct risk assessments as necessary.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in providing personal care is preferred.
  • A compassionate and empathetic demeanor.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of clients.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, or a willingness to pursue this qualification, is advantageous.
