At Social Care & Education, we are seeking dedicated and skilled Care Support Specialists to assist young adults facing various learning challenges and mental health concerns within a college framework.
The complexities of the students' needs require a compassionate approach, including personal care and the use of mobility aids, making prior experience in these areas essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with and respond to the needs of all learners, fostering independence.
- Provide Learning Support on both an individual and group basis.
- Adopt a person-centered approach, customizing support to meet specific requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with young individuals and educational staff.
- Deliver personal care when necessary.
- Perform administrative duties and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a Care Support Specialist with young adults.
- Experience in supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities.
- Strong Communication and Listening Skills.
- Valid DBS / CRB certification.
