About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Care Navigator at Canterbury Medical Practice. As a key member of our reception team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Front Desk Operations
    • Manage the front desk, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for patients
    • Process patient registrations, updates, and cancellations
    • Handle patient inquiries and provide information on practice services
  • Administrative Support
    • Assist with data entry, filing, and record-keeping
    • Prepare and send correspondence, reports, and other documents
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
  • Patient Communication
    • Communicate effectively with patients, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals
    • Provide clear and concise information on test results, appointments, and other patient-related matters
    • Respond to patient concerns and escalate issues as necessary
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work collaboratively with the reception team to ensure seamless operations
    • Participate in training and professional development opportunities
    • Contribute to the development of practice policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Education and Training
    • Good standard of education with good literacy and numeracy skills
    • Up-to-date with mandatory and role-specific training
  • Experience and Skills
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills
    • Highly organized and excellent attention to detail
    • Time management and ability to prioritize workload
    • Knowledge of EMIS Web Clinical System and Docman
    • Ability to extract relevant information from conversations to pass on
    • Ability to work autonomously
    • Accuracy in recording data
