Job Title: Engineering Systems Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Systems Architect to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our System of Systems Integration team, you will play a critical role in the development of concepts for the Future of Combat Air System (FCAS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead technical studies to inform system requirements, architecture, and concepts
  • Support the assessment of system concepts, including technical viability, adaptability, and interoperability
  • Attend and lead meetings and workshops to progress studies
  • Contribute expertise to understanding of risks, assumptions, and dependencies
  • Attend planning and coordination meetings and report on work progress
Requirements:
  • Degree educated in a STEM discipline or HND/HNC with sound experience of the Engineering Lifecycle
  • Experience of Model Based Engineering approaches and supporting methods and toolsets
  • Experience in an engineering integration environment
  • Good communication skills at all levels of an organisation, with the ability to forge partnerships with internal and external customers
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience of structured tool sets such as MooD and Cameo
  • Ability to coordinate and manage programmes
