Role Overview:
We are in search of a committed and passionate Youth Engagement and Volunteer Program Manager to join our dynamic team. This position offers a remarkable opportunity to positively influence the lives of young people by designing and implementing innovative youth engagement initiatives within our hostelling framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute engaging youth programs and activities that foster personal development and social inclusion.
- Collaborate with youth organizations, educational institutions, and community partners to assess needs, identify opportunities, and secure funding for youth engagement and participation.
- Expand and enhance our volunteer program by recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers in project delivery.
- Provide ongoing guidance, supervision, and development opportunities for volunteers.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of both youth engagement and volunteer programs, gathering feedback from participants and stakeholders to inform future improvements.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for youth empowerment and a commitment to fostering positive social change. You should have a solid understanding of youth engagement networks in Scotland and enjoy building mutually beneficial partnerships within these networks to complement and enhance the initiatives of Hostelling Scotland.
Essential Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in youth engagement settings and best practices in volunteering.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to youth work principles and participation approaches.
- Full manual driving license.
