About The Role

The Interim Head of Communications and Engagement will be a visionary leader, responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with FWB's mission and goals. This role requires a highly skilled and experienced professional with a proven track record in strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a communications strategy that promotes FWB's mission, values, and goals.
  • Oversee all external communications, including media relations, stakeholder engagement, corporate reputation management, and social media, to influence target audiences and drive behavior change.
  • Ensure consistency in corporate communications and internal engagement to enhance FWB's reputation and culture.
  • Serve as the lead advisor on communications strategies, supporting the Executive Leadership Team in risk management and opportunity maximization.
  • Manage resources and budgets effectively, focusing on cost-efficient communication solutions.
  • Lead and develop the communications team, fostering professional growth and ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, and other key stakeholders to advance FWB's objectives.
  • Shape and uphold the strategic narrative, brand vision, and values of FWB.
  • Act as a senior leader, contributing to corporate initiatives and driving organizational success.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership in communications, marketing, or stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong track record in engaging businesses through strategic proposition development.
  • Experience in maximizing digital presence, including social media, digital marketing, and websites.
  • Expertise in delivering targeted communications in complex environments.
  • Strong brand understanding and ability to inspire commitment to purpose.
  • Skilled in developing and implementing communication strategies and plans.
  • Success in building trust and effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in creating impactful communication plans that build profile and influence.
  • Effective leader with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop teams.
  • Strong planning and resource allocation skills.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High self-motivation and commitment to the organization.
  • Ability to stay updated on relevant developments and share key information with colleagues.
