About the Opportunity

Position Overview:

This role offers flexibility in location, ideally suited for candidates based in key areas across the UK or Ireland. The salary range for this position is competitive, reflecting experience and includes additional benefits.


Role Responsibilities:

You will collaborate closely with the Head of Commissioning, overseeing a variety of Onshore Wind, Solar, and Battery projects integrated into Distribution or Transmission networks.

  • Lead Commissioning Supervisory Panel meetings to ensure compliance with Technical, Quality, and Safety Standards.
  • Provide expert guidance to Project Development and Delivery teams regarding HVDC and HVAC construction and commissioning.
  • Manage the Certification Process for entering Balancing Mechanism and other System Services.
  • Review and approve Contractor Commissioning Plans and oversee the transition of systems to Asset Management.
  • Conduct performance testing to validate Commercial Operations Date and Acceptance phases.

Candidate Requirements:

We seek individuals with:

  • Proven experience in commissioning Onshore Generation Systems within a regulated energy market.
  • Familiarity with Regulated Transmission & Distribution licensees and their operational protocols.
  • Expertise in Protection and Control systems, including SCADA and Telecoms infrastructure.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, ideally with Chartered Engineer status or equivalent.
