Role Overview
Location: Flexible, with a preference for key sites across the UK and Ireland.
Salary: Competitive, based on experience, along with a car allowance and performance-related bonuses.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible options available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Head of Commissioning in overseeing a diverse portfolio of Onshore Wind, Solar, and Battery projects connected to Distribution or Transmission networks.
  • Review electrical and operational designs to ensure safe and efficient project construction.
  • Chair Commissioning Supervisory Panel meetings, ensuring compliance with technical, quality, and safety standards.
  • Provide expert guidance to project teams regarding HVDC and HVAC construction and commissioning processes.
  • Manage the Certification Process for entering the Balancing Mechanism and other system services.
  • Approve Contractor Commissioning Plans and oversee the handover of systems to Asset Management.
  • Conduct performance testing to document the declaration of Commercial Operations Dates and acceptance phases.

Qualifications and Experience
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
  • Proven experience in commissioning Onshore Generation Systems within regulated energy markets.
  • Familiarity with regulated Transmission & Distribution licensees and their operational protocols.
  • Expertise in Protection and Control systems, Interface Systems, and SCADA systems.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, with a preference for Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional accreditation.
