Children and Young People's Mental Health Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Children and Young People's Mental Health Service as a Multi-disciplinary Pathway Specialist.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake comprehensive assessments of children and young people up to age 18 to inform formulation, diagnosis, and recommendations for treatment within a spectrum of mental health presentations.
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with members of the team and partnership agencies, including Social Services, Education, and others.
- Deliver a range of evidence-based clinical interventions for children and young people, and provide support and guidance to families.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each child or young person.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a safe and supportive therapeutic environment.
- Graduate qualified healthcare professional (nurse, social worker, occupational therapist) with eligibility for registration as a full member of the appropriate professional body.
- Experience of working with children and young people with complex mental health needs, including those with challenging behaviors.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working around the needs of the service.
