About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Clinical Lead to join our Children and Young People's Mental Health Services (CYPMHS) team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the clinical development and delivery of our CYPMHS service, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to children and young people with emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on service development and delivery, including research opportunities
  • Develop partnership working with key agencies
  • Ensure the service is delivering clinically effective interventions in line with current research and clinical guidelines
  • Ensure staff team have relevant skills and CPD, including opportunities to further their experience and training
  • Provide clinical leadership and specialist treatment and assessment within your professional sphere of expertise
About NELFT's CYPMHS

NELFT's CYPMHS is a comprehensive service providing assessment, treatment, and support to children and young people with emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties. Our service is designed to respond earlier to children and young people's needs, preventing, reducing, or delaying the need for more specialist interventions.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

Successful completion of a post-graduate training in psychological practice (psychologist, family therapist, child and adolescent psychotherapist)Extensive experience of working with moderate to profound learning disabilities, disturbed or challenging children/young people requiring skilled and complex interventionsExtensive experience of working therapeutically with parents/carers/families of children and young people with complex mental health problems
