About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator to join our team at UK Power Networks. As a key member of our Customer Services and VICE directorate, you will play a vital role in shaping, facilitating, delivering, and reporting on our ongoing engagement and research programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Deliver Engagement Strategies

Develop and deliver engagement strategies and plans that meet business priorities, involving a range of stakeholders and engagement methods. This will include identifying opportunities for proactive engagement and developing purposeful, inclusive, and effective engagement strategies and delivery plans.

Manage Stakeholder Maps

Manage stakeholder maps, including for strategic issues, and identify opportunities for proactive engagement. This will involve working with teams to develop stakeholder maps, evaluate important relationships, and identify opportunities for proactive engagement.

Support Strategic Analysis

Support in strategic analysis to identify new issues for engagement and research. This will involve maintaining the central engagement and research plan, including documenting the delivery approach for engagement and research activities across all teams and providing line of sight to key priorities.

Deliver Reports

Help deliver our annual Ongoing Engagement Report and Annual Vulnerability Report, working with the relevant teams and explaining publicly how our engagement and research programme has influenced actions and led to measurable benefits for customers, the network, and wider society.

Coordinate with Teams

Coordinate with teams across the business to identify important projects and impacts for inclusion in the reports, sourcing quantitative and qualitative benefits with supporting evidence.

Support Storyboarding and Design

Support the storyboarding, drafting, design, and publication of the reports, commissioning and managing external support (e.g. design, copywriting).

Coordinate Approval Process

Coordinate the approval process and coordinate with the Communication and Media team to develop a communications plan for the publication of the reports.

Embed Best Practice

Embed and enhance understanding of best practice in engagement and research across the business, including through guidance, materials, training, and advice.

Be a Subject Matter Expert

Be the go-to person for excellence in engagement delivery, partnering with teams to ensure engagement plans are purposeful, inclusive, relevant, and impactful and reflect the latest best practice.

Deliver Internal Reporting

Help deliver internal reporting on the scope, progress, and impact of the engagement and research programme.

Define and Deliver Processes

Support in defining and delivering enduring processes to manage engagement and research, including identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Maintain Engagement Systems

Support in maintaining and extracting main content in our engagement and research systems.

Requirements
  • Degree-Level Qualification

Degree-level qualification in PR/Marketing/Communications/Engagement or equivalent experience.

Experience in Engagement

Experience developing and delivering multiple engagement approaches and delivery plans to meet business priorities, involving a range of stakeholders and engagement methods.

Awareness of Best Practices

Awareness and understanding of best practices in stakeholder engagement.

Analytical and Interpretative Skills

Analytical and interpretative skills, including the ability to extract key actionable insights from engagement.

Experience in Strategic Analysis

Experience of aligning engagement activities to strategic goals, with exposure to PESTLE analysis or similar.

Experience in Recording and Evaluating Engagement

Experience of recording, monitoring, and evaluating engagement activities.

Collaborative Working

Experience working collaboratively with multiple teams across an organisation.

Ability to Build Relationships

Ability to build collaborative relationships with teams, establish shared goals, and see them through to delivery.

Experience in Sharing Good Practice

Experience sharing engagement good practice, e.g. through presentations or guidance materials.

Project Management

Experience of managing projects or workstreams to time, cost, and quality.

Strong Communication Skills

Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to write, receive, understand, and convey complex ideas.

Organisational Skills

Ability to organise and be responsible for own workload, prioritising actions, and managing competing demands under pressure.
