About the Role

Marks Consulting Partners Limited is seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Scheme Manager. This role will involve working with one of our Housing Association clients in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Local Housing Services: Ensure a high-quality customer service experience for residents, focusing on local housing and tenancy management.
  • Conduct Regular Inspections: Perform regular building and health and safety inspections, identifying and reporting necessary repairs, monitoring fire safety, and ensuring the full functionality of services and alarm systems.
  • Ensure Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all schemes comply with health and safety obligations, following the organization's health and safety procedures, and conducting regular health and safety inspections.
  • Enhance Scheme Attractiveness: Ensure all schemes are welcoming and attractive for supported and retirement customers.
  • Proactive Rent Management: Manage local rent collection and escalate arrears issues in a proactive manner.
  • Letting and Void Management: Effectively manage the letting of properties within the organization's policies, supporting the voids process with asset and repairs colleagues.
  • Tenancy Sign-Ups and Support: Manage and deliver tenancy sign-ups for new tenants, ensuring clear understanding of tenancy and rent conditions, and providing support for tenants to settle in.
  • Manage Anti-Social Behaviour: Manage anti-social behaviour incidents, ensuring relevant risk assessments and action plans are completed, and maintaining good record-keeping.
Requirements
  • Experience in Housing Management: 2 years of experience in housing management, with an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of tenants and landlords or similar transferable skills.
  • Experience with Vulnerable Groups: Experience of working with older or vulnerable people, either in a voluntary capacity or with other vulnerable groups.
  • Health and Safety Understanding: Understanding of health and safety issues affecting tenants, older persons, and general housing management.
