About the Role

As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in leading and supporting a team of dedicated professionals who provide therapeutic care and support to children within a nurturing residential setting. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care services, strategic planning for developments within the home, and overseeing all day-to-day management matters.

  • Collaborate with a compassionate team to create a safe and loving environment for children and young people, guided by a Service Manager and Registered Manager.
  • Lead and mentor staff, fostering a positive and supportive work culture.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of each child, promoting their growth and well-being.
  • Supervise staff performance, conduct training sessions, and ensure adherence to best practices in childcare.
  • Manage budgets, rotas, and other administrative tasks effectively.

What We're Looking For

  • 2-3 years of experience working within a Residential Children's home setting.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People or equivalent qualification.
  • A strong understanding of Ofsted legislation and safeguarding procedures.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to working with children.
  • Full driving license is essential.
