Extra Care Scheme Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to join our team as an Extra Care Scheme Manager. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Extra Care Housing provision, ensuring that our residents receive high-quality care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Oversee and manage the dedicated care and support staff allocated to the scheme.
- Work with the Registered Care Manager to create a wide network of partners from the local community matching needs of the tenants within the unit.
- Care and Support Planning
- Ensure that the tenant's Care and Support Plan is in place and reflects their needs.
- Make tenants aware of service expectations and obtain feedback on the appropriateness of the service provided.
- Community Engagement
- Foster partnerships with other agencies, the third sector, and micro providers to enhance the general offer to the scheme and the opportunities it can make available to the people living there.
- Ensure the promotion of a good community spirit on the scheme.
- Health and Safety
- Ensure hygiene and Health & Safety regulations are followed.
- Take responsibility for communal facilities for security, reporting of defects, supervision of activities if required, and general cleanliness.
- Complaints and Safeguarding
- Investigate any complaints as directed by the Care Manager/Deputy Manager and action any outcomes in accordance with the Company's complaints procedure.
- Ensure our Safeguarding policies and procedures are followed in line with policies and procedures.
- Staff Supervision and Development
- Conduct staff supervisions and reviews where required.
- Conduct Annual Appraisals in accordance with the Company policy for all staff.
- Identify any training requirements and liaise with the Training Manager to address these issues where necessary.
- NVQ level 3 as a minimum (required).
- 2-3 years supervisory social care experience.
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (desirable).
- Hold or be prepared to work towards a Care and Management Level 4 or equivalent.
