Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Construction Skills Trainer to join our team at St Mungo's. As a key member of our Learning, Training & Employment team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality construction skills training to our clients.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Delivering practical construction skills training to our clients, covering a range of trades including painting and decorating, tiling, basic carpentry, basic plumbing, and basic electrical work at Level 1-Multiskills.
- Managing a small team consisting of another tutor, employment specialist, and a progression coach to map clients' progression and support them in moving on after training.
- Fostering close relationships with local hostel managers to build up the client base and support the growth of our construction skills training programs.
About You
We are looking for an empathetic and proactive individual with the ability to share skills and inspire people. You will have good communication skills, with the ability to engage clients, be flexible, and willing to work across different sites. You will also have a strong understanding of the importance of client involvement and a person-centered approach to ensure the best outcomes for clients.
