Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Thrombosis Treatment Team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert nursing care to patients with suspected deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in an outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients for DVT and request diagnostic tests as necessary
  • Review test results and provide individualized patient care
  • Initiate anticoagulation and provide compression hosiery as required
  • Work independently and as part of a nurse-led team to provide excellent patient care
  • Participate in audit, research, and professional development opportunities
Requirements
  • Recognized expert in the specialty of thrombosis care
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to assess and develop specialist nursing care programs
  • Experience in providing specialist advice and support to other staff
