We are seeking an experienced and skilled Nurse Specialist to lead our Prostate Cancer Care team. As a key member of our Cancer Directorate, you will be responsible for enhancing the community assessment for men with non-specific lower urinary tract symptoms or marginally raised PSA.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and lead the ENRICH (ENhanced tRIaging in prostate Cancer patHway) project to reduce over-investigation and related anxiety in men.
- Develop and implement a collaborative working strategy to meet the project aims, liaising with the Primary care team.
- Provide clinical leadership, influencing others to provide the highest levels of safe and effective care and a positive patient experience.
- Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care, as an autonomous practitioner with highly specialist skills.
- Collect and analyze data to track progress and provide feedback to the consultant lead and Cancer Alliance.
- RGN with a degree and post-registration module in Urology or Prostate cancer care.
- Advanced clinical assessment skills and experience in project management.
- Leadership or management module and non-medical prescriber qualification.
- Significant clinical experience as a nurse specialist in Urology/Prostate cancer and experience in running nurse-led clinics.
- Proven leadership and team leading skills, with the ability to manage and progress own professional development.
