About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Executive to join our dynamic team at Balens Specialist Insurance Brokers. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving sustainable growth and profitability for our company by identifying new business opportunities, cultivating strategic partnerships, and delivering innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop and maintain relationships with existing clients, and expand our service delivery to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Events and Presentations: Deliver workshops, presentations, and networking events to engage with attendees, exhibitors, and partners, and promote our services and expertise.
  • Compliance and Regulatory: Work collaboratively with our Compliance and Agency teams to ensure all regulatory components of relationship management are achieved, and maintain compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Incident Resolution and Improvement: Resolve incidents promptly, analyze their root causes, and implement improvements to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
  • Team Development and Learning: Identify opportunities for individual and team development, foster a culture of continuous learning, and support the growth and development of our team members.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Take responsibility for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and embed compliance in all aspects of your work.
  • Lead Acquisition and Conversion: Demonstrate success in lead acquisition and conversion, and develop strategies to improve our sales performance.
  • Commercial Insurance Knowledge: Have a strong understanding of commercial insurance products and services, and be able to advise clients on their insurance needs.
  • Performance Reporting and KPI Management: Develop and maintain performance reports and KPIs to measure our team's performance and identify areas for improvement.
