Transport Supervisor

**Job Summary**

Menzies Distribution Ltd is seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor to oversee the execution of transportation plans, ensuring compliance with legislation, health and safety, and customer service requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Ensure all deliveries are executed in line with the plan provided by the Regional Planning Centre
* Control and execute the Day and Night Plan
* Pre-brief all drivers to ensure they fully understand the day's work and requirements
* De-brief all drivers to ensure they have completed all required work and any issues are addressed
* Minimise/maximum impact on vehicle earnings to ensure budgeted vehicle earnings are met
* Weekend work may be required to cover holidays with shift swaps or overtime
* Conduct investigations and return to work interviews as required
* Source local agency drivers and sub-contractors as needed
* Coordinate and build key KPI reports for customers
* Ensure accurate trailer checks are completed and sent

**Requirements**

* Right to work in the UK
* Experience working in a busy transport office
* Knowledge of Drivers Hours, Tachograph, and WTD legislation
* Strong negotiating skills
* Good standard of education
* IT literate
* Knowledge of Health and Safety
* Commercial understanding
* Knowledge of transport systems
