Menzies Distribution Ltd is seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor to oversee the efficient distribution of goods. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with transport legislation, health and safety regulations, and customer service requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement transportation plans to meet customer demands.
  2. Manage and coordinate the activities of drivers and transport teams.
  3. Monitor and control vehicle earnings to ensure budget targets are met.
  4. Investigate and resolve issues related to transportation operations.
  5. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
  6. Ensure accurate trailer checks and compliance with safety standards.
  7. Perform other transport office-related duties, including POD control and scanning.

Requirements:

  1. 'Right To Work' in the UK.
  2. Experience in a busy transport office environment.
  3. Knowledge of drivers' hours, tachograph, and WTD legislation.
  4. Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  5. Good standard of education and IT literacy.
  6. Knowledge of health and safety and commercial understanding.
