Retail Store Manager

Sodexo Health & Care is seeking a dedicated Retail Store Manager to lead and oversee the operations of the Kitchen Works restaurant at the Wythenshawe Hospital.
Main Responsibilities- Staff Scheduling and Management: Complete and post staff work schedules to ensure efficient operations.
- Food Preparation and Safety: Ensure all food is prepared with due care and attention, particularly for customers with special dietary requirements.
- Accounting and Administration: Maintain accurate records, complete weekly returns, and adhere to company standards.
- Financial Performance: Analyze business records to increase sales, control costs, and maintain pre-budgeted targets.
- Marketing and Communication: Support local and national marketing initiatives, communicate changes to staff, and maintain the service offer manual.
- Hygiene and Safety: Implement and maintain statutory and company standards, and take necessary actions.
- Staff Development and Welfare: Provide thorough inductions, monitor staff performance, and organize regular staff meetings.
- Payroll and Compliance: Ensure accurate payroll compilation and adherence to the latest regulations.
We are seeking a candidate with a solid operational food retail background, currently holding a retail store manager or supervisor position. The ideal candidate will have experience leading staff, be passionate about brand standards and customer service, and be adaptable to change.
The successful candidate will be quality-driven, innovative, and have excellent influencing skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships. They will also possess:
- Leadership and Development Skills: Ability to lead and develop a team.
- Food Hygiene Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of food hygiene standards and a minimum of Basic Food Hygiene level 3 qualification.
- IT Skills: Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and general IT systems.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Willingness to get involved and have a hands-on approach to working, with flexibility to work weekends as needed.
- Pressure Management: Ability to work well under pressure and self-motivate.
