Job Overview

Vistry Group PLC is seeking a skilled Payment Clerk to join our team in Coleshill, West Midlands. As a Payment Clerk, you will be responsible for processing and maintaining accounts payable records, providing financial administrative support to our commercial team, and ensuring timely and accurate financial information is provided in accordance with group procedures and policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and code invoices in accordance with group policies
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve invoicing queries in a professional manner
  • Review and clear invoices on hold in a timely manner
  • Perform supplier reconciliations and statements on a monthly basis
  • Handle all post and emails related to invoices and associated duties
  • Process and check supplier and department payments
  • Support the commercial team with ad-hoc tasks

Requirements

  • IT literate, including MS Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to resolve and reconcile issues with limited supervision
  • Interpersonal skills and attitude
  • Time management and organisational skills to manage workload and meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders

Desirable Skills

  • COINS finance system experience
  • High volume processing environment with good knowledge of end-to-end accounts payable function
  • Self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative
