**OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE**

IFX works closely with its banking partners and relevant regulatory authorities and puts the highest priority on back office function and systems compliance issues. Anti-money-laundering processes and risk mitigation strategies are of major importance to the company along with meeting the high expectations of our clients based around the world. Settlements Associates are responsible for managing payment transactions in a busy and dynamic environment, dealing directly with both clients and banking partners, whilst also providing support for back office colleagues responsible for compliance management, and accounting tasks.

**Responsibilities**:
**Transaction Processing**:

- Execute and monitor international payment transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, working closely with internal teams and external partners.

**Regulatory Compliance**:

- Stay abreast of international payment regulations and ensure that all transactions adhere to relevant compliance standards.
- Collaborate with compliance teams to implement and update policies as required.

**Customer Support**:

- Provide expert assistance to customers and internal stakeholders regarding payment-related queries and issues.
- Work closely with Customer Support teams to resolve payment-related customer concerns effectively.

**Reconciliation and Reporting**:

- Perform regular reconciliation of payment transactions.

**Cross-Functional Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Technology, and Compliance, to streamline processes and enhance system functionality.

**Fraud Prevention**:

- Report and investigate suspicious activities, taking appropriate action in accordance with company protocols.

**Competencies & Experience**:

- Proven experience in payment processing within a fintech or financial institution ideally. Will consider previous administration experience within a commercial environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
