Join us as a Geophysical Equipment Specialist at Gardline

We have an exciting opportunity to become part of our dynamic Geophysical Engineering Workshop Team, where you will be tasked with the mechanical upkeep, assembly, calibration, and repair of geophysical instruments and equipment.

This hands-on position leans towards mechanical expertise, while also encompassing responsibilities for testing and calibrating electronic devices.

The role also presents a fantastic opportunity for travel to support the mobilization of our vessels at various ports.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct regular inspections of geophysical instruments to ensure optimal functionality. Execute routine maintenance activities such as cleaning, refurbishing, and replacing worn components, along with diagnosing and repairing defective equipment. Calibrate geophysical instruments to guarantee accurate measurements while maintaining detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and calibrations. Operate forklift trucks and manage warehouse and yard organization. Assist in the mobilization of vessels from the base. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment in the workshop.

Required Qualifications

Your Attributes:
You can advance as a Geophysical Equipment Specialist if you possess:

At least 2 years of experience in a technical or maintenance capacity. Preferably, familiarity with Mechanical and Electrical/Electronic systems. Capability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.

Full-time Position: The role of Geophysical Equipment Specialist is a full-time, permanent position, comprising 37.5 hours per week.
