About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Geophysical Equipment Technician to join our busy Geophysical Engineering Workshop Team at Boskalis. As a Geophysical Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for the mechanical maintenance, assembly, calibration, and repair of geophysical equipment and instruments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instrument Inspection: Regularly inspect geophysical instruments to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, refurbishing, and replacing worn-out parts, and diagnose and repair faulty equipment.
  • Calibration: Calibrate geophysical instruments to ensure precise measurements, and maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and calibrations.
  • Warehouse and Yard Management: Operate a forklift truck and organize the warehouse and yard.
  • Vessel Mobilization: Assist in the mobilization of vessels away from base.
  • Safety Protocols: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment in the workshop.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical or maintenance role.
  • Knowledge: It would be preferable if the candidate had some Mechanical and Electrical/electronic system knowledge.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
