We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Category Development and Global Perfect Store Lead to join our team in Maidenhead.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Cultivate strong, productive relationships with key customer contacts and internal stakeholders, serving as the primary point of contact for significant retailers.
  • Leverage insights to develop strategic partnership projects aimed at strengthening key focus categories.
  • Identify relevant long-term Category Growth Drivers, quantifying their sales impact and demonstrating how in-store/online tactics will drive growth.
  • Lead a team of 2 full-time employees to deliver category management excellence and manage range reviews with priority customers.
  • Drive Karo's distribution network, ensuring optimal quantity and quality of shelf placement across all customer channels through your team.
  • Foster a culture that remains unbiased and objective while maintaining commercial awareness and transparent communication of decisions.
  • Ensure full compliance with legal, regulatory, and other standards as directed by Karo.
  • Establish a comprehensive Perfect Store approach for Karo, defining the key levers for Omni-channel, Brick-and-Mortar, and Online environments.
  • Design user-friendly tools that are easily integrated into focus markets (UK, Norway, and Sweden) to drive operational excellence.
  • Support country managers in developing the appropriate Category Development approach within their respective markets.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Commercial Officer and UK Country Manager to define the long-term strategic direction for the Category, expanding the approach based on emerging needs and opportunities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in health and beauty or FMCG
  • Proven experience and demonstrable application of core category management skills as a manager, preferably leading a team
  • Strong understanding of category analysis and key category drivers
  • Experience with Nielsen, Space Planning, IRI, Kantar, or similar analytical tools
  • Experience in building category visions and executing Perfect Store strategies
  • Multi-channel experience, including Pharmacy/High Street and Grocery, is preferred
  • Experience working across multiple markets or successfully influencing teams with limited direct authority is a plus
