Position Overview

A Leading Global Multi-Disciplinary real estate firm dedicated to fostering sustainable local economic advancement is seeking to enhance their Economic Development division. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion and expertise in the field - familiarity with land and property initiatives is essential, although an RICS qualification is not mandatory. This role involves direct reporting to the Partner overseeing this sector nationally, supported by a collaborative team.

This division provides consultancy services to both Public and Private sector clients across the country, offering expertise in funding strategies, impact evaluations, project feasibility studies, sector-specific demand assessments, business and investment planning, as well as strategies for economic growth and place-based development.

The firm is engaged in various public sector frameworks and actively seeks additional opportunities on a global scale. They play a significant role in initiatives such as the Levelling Up Fund, Towns Fund, Enterprise/Investment Zones, the devolution agenda, and national housing delivery projects through their established frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the current Director within this division in their initiatives, while also supporting other Directors across the broader team.
  • Examine wider issues related to Economic Development and engage in strategic thinking.
  • Manage socio-economic components for Environmental Impact Assessment projects, health assessments, and Equality Impact Assessments, including modeling.
  • Compile cases for Economic Impact Assessments, HMT Green Book business cases, and funding proposals.
  • Conduct development and local needs assessments, options evaluations, social investment strategies, and assessments of Social Value programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • A degree in Planning, Geography, or Economics.
  • A solid understanding of socio-economic impacts on real estate and regeneration, coupled with a genuine interest in Economic Development.
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Exceptional communication, writing, numerical, and data analysis skills.
