About the Role
Cobalt Consulting (UK) Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Economic Development Consultant to join their team. As a key member of the Economic Development team, you will play a crucial role in promoting sustainable local economic growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and capitalize on new economic development fee-bearing opportunities and initiatives, including those in identified growth areas.
- Project manage the delivery of commissions with direct client interface and manage your own client relationships.
- Support the external profile of the Economic Development team's offer.
- Support the learning and development of more junior team colleagues.
- Undertake technical economic analysis and modeling, such as cost-benefit appraisal and economic impact assessment.
- Work within internal and external multi-disciplinary teams.
- Deliver high-quality reports and presentation-based outputs to clients.
- Contribute to wider business initiatives and thought leadership agendas, such as the Future Cities initiative.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of land and property schemes, as well as experience in economic development and analysis. A RICS qualification is not essential, but a passion for sustainable growth and development is a must.
