About the Role

As an Economics Lecturer, you'll play a vital role in shaping the academic journey of our international students at Leeds International Study Centre. You'll contribute to a dynamic learning environment where innovation and student success are paramount.

  • Lead and coordinate designated modules, ensuring seamless delivery and student engagement.
  • Collaborate with teaching and support staff to foster a supportive and effective academic community.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of engaging module content, incorporating best practices in economics education.
  • Deliver impactful lectures and tutorials, fostering critical thinking and analytical skills in students.
  • Design and assess student work through a variety of methods, providing constructive feedback that supports learning and growth.
  • Maintain and update the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) to create a dynamic and accessible learning space.
  • Work closely with Student & Academic Services to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new students.
  • Support student progression by connecting them with resources and guidance tailored to their academic goals.
  • Stay abreast of current trends and developments in economics through scholarly activity and research.

About You

We seek a passionate and dedicated Economics Lecturer who is committed to student success.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Economics or a related field is essential.
  • A Master's degree or PhD in Economics is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in teaching economics at the higher education level, ideally within a UK context.
  • A strong understanding of pedagogical best practices and a commitment to creating engaging learning experiences.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
