Elevation Recruitment Group is collaborating with a prominent organization in Leeds seeking to appoint a Strategic Finance Advisor due to expansion on a permanent, full-time basis.

In this role, you will report directly to the Head of Finance and will be tasked with managing various reporting obligations while fostering strategic relationships with diverse departments across the organization and driving process enhancements.

Responsibilities of the Strategic Finance Advisor include:

Commission Reporting Management:
Oversee the commission reporting process for brokers and staff, ensuring precision, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.

Data Analysis:
Employ advanced analytical techniques to derive insights from financial and operational data, empowering the Finance team to make informed decisions and enhance business performance. Continuously assess and refine reporting processes to boost efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity.

Compliance and Governance:
Ensure adherence to relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies. Assist with internal and external audits as required.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
Work alongside other teams, including Sales, Operations, and Billing, to collect necessary data and information for reporting. Provide support to the Head of Finance as needed.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree along with a relevant postgraduate qualification in Accountancy is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in financial reporting, data analysis, and commission management within the energy sector or a comparable industry is essential. A strong grasp of financial principles, accounting standards, and reporting best practices is required. Proficiency in financial software and tools such as Excel, ERP systems, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is necessary. Strong organizational and project management skills are crucial, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines. Familiarity with the UK energy market and regulatory framework would be advantageous.
