Salary: £100 - £140k + bonus
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Group Financial Controller to join our team at Equity Finance Partners. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading a team of 15 and developing the finance function to support strategic growth.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial leadership, with experience in managing a team and developing financial processes. You will be responsible for leading the finance function, including group reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. You will also be responsible for ensuring strong financial controls and processes are in place to ensure the security of assets and maximize profit performance.
Key Responsibilities- Group Reporting: Prepare and present monthly board packs, including financial statements and key performance indicators.
- Financial Leadership: Lead and manage a team of 15, providing technical guidance and coaching where necessary.
- Annual Budgeting: Develop and implement an annual budgeting process across the group, including the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow.
- Financial Controls: Ensure strong financial controls and processes are in place to ensure the security of assets and maximize profit performance.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive a mindset of continuous improvement, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to improve financial processes.
- External Audit: Lead the annual external audit process for the group, including tax compliance and R&D.
- M&A Transaction Accounting: Manage M&A transaction accounting and support integrations.
- Ad Hoc Duties: Perform ad hoc duties as required.
- Education: Graduate level education with demonstrable academic success.
- Qualifications: Professionally qualified Accountant, ideally with training in practice before gaining industry experience.
- Experience: Strong technical knowledge of statutory accounting (IFRS) and compliance, with experience of M&A and taxation (UK and Europe).
- Skills: Strong IT and systems skills, with experience of financial systems and software.
- Personal Qualities: Engaging and confident, able to build and maintain relationships with C-suite and department heads.
