Salary Guide: c£175,000 + LTIP + benefits

Our client is a leading European Family Office with a strong track record in growing businesses and achieving substantial capital gains for its investors. They operate along similar lines to a mainstream private equity fund, but with a longer-term time horizon for investment.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal to join our Portfolio Operations team. The successful candidate will work closely with the management team of a luxury goods portfolio company, supporting and influencing across all areas of the business. This includes strategic, operational, financial, people, and governance matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the management team in overseeing strategic, operational, financial, people, and governance matters
  • Work closely with the portfolio company executive management team to ensure routine and ad-hoc initiatives are progressed, monitored, and properly reported
  • Provide exceptional business judgement, including the ability to prepare and draw conclusions from data and commercial and financial analysis
  • Command the attention and respect of the portfolio business management team with EQ, interpersonal skills, gravitas, presence, and credibility

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, high degree of numeracy, and an exceptional track record in their career to date. They will have experience in a strategic role with a leading luxury goods company or in a similar portfolio role in private equity. Prior experience in a hands-on general management role in a smaller, more entrepreneurial company is also desirable. German language capability is essential.
