German Speaking Operating Principal

Our client, a leading European Family Office, operates with a long-term investment horizon, similar to a mainstream private equity fund. Working closely with management teams, the business has a strong track record in growing businesses and achieving substantial capital gains for its investors.
This individual will support and influence across all areas of the business, including strategic, operational, financial, people, and governance matters. You will work with the portfolio company executive management team to ensure routine and ad-hoc initiatives are progressed, monitored, and properly reported.
With a strong academic background, high degree of numeracy, and an exceptional track record in your career, you may have followed various career paths. You will probably have commenced your career with a leading investment bank in M&A or gained extensive financial experience in a strategic role with a leading luxury goods company or in a similar portfolio role in private equity. Prior experience in a hands-on general management role in a smaller, more entrepreneurial company, possibly with a founder still involved, would also be of interest, combined with a strong financial background.
Candidates must have German language capability. This person must also be able to demonstrate strong business judgement, including the ability to prepare and draw conclusions from data and commercial and financial analysis. It is expected that the individual will be London based, with regular travel to Germany.
