Position Summary:
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Electrical Maintenance Apprentice to join our dedicated maintenance team. This role is based in a prestigious government facility.

Work Schedule:
This is a permanent position with a shift pattern of 38.5 hours per week, operating on a 4 on, 4 off schedule, exclusively during daytime hours from 07:00 to 19:00.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Electrical Maintenance Apprentice, you will:

  • Perform a variety of building service tasks, focusing primarily on electrical and mechanical planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Recommend replacement parts and materials to ensure optimal equipment and building functionality.
  • Supervise specialist subcontractors as required.
  • Provide coverage for other technicians as needed across various facilities, including participation in an on-call rota.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A recognized Electrical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 in an applicable Electrical discipline, along with suitable industry experience; mechanical qualifications or experience are advantageous.
  • Desirable qualifications include C&G 2391 Testing & Inspection and BS7671 (or equivalent).
  • Experience in building services, maintenance, or facilities management is preferred.
  • The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, demonstrating a proactive and adaptable approach.

Additional Requirements:
This position requires a minimum of 5 years' residency in the UK and a valid passport.
