AskVerity is a leading HR consultancy that provides expert advice and support to businesses across various industries. We are seeking an exceptional HR Advisor to join our team and work closely with our clients to provide guidance and support on HR-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Head of HR in managing the workload and providing guidance on HR-related matters.
  • Act as the first point of contact for HR queries from clients and manage a workload of up to 90 clients.
  • Work closely with HR colleagues to monitor, review, and update policies in line with current legislation and best practice.
  • Provide an advisory service to clients on HR-related matters, ensuring they are aware of processes and procedures in accordance with legislation and their own policies.
  • Manage client relationships, respond to queries, and manage expectations.
  • Ensure Human Resources matters are handled fairly and consistently in line with legal and client requirements.
  • Support clients with probationary reviews, appraisals, grievance, disciplinary, and capability investigations, hearings, and appeals.
  • Support and oversee recruitment campaigns.
  • Diary and communicate dates for probationary reviews, appraisal meetings, and other meetings.
  • Monitor employee absence for clients and advise as necessary.
  • Prepare management information for use in client monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Maintain client database, including service requests, client employee data, correspondence, etc.
  • Deliver HR workshops and training to clients, reviewing current material and designing new material as appropriate.
Personal Qualities, Skills, and Knowledge:
  • Excellent administrative skills.
  • Excellent relationship management skills, capable of building trust with clients over the telephone.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and written communication skills.
  • Generalist HR experience within an in-house/shared service HR environment.
  • Key experience of working with and advising line managers.
  • Proactive approach in all areas of HR.
  • First-class IT and communication skills.
  • Team-oriented.
  • Results-focused.
  • CIPD qualified or desire to qualify - support can be provided upon successful completion of probation.
  • Confidence to work across all levels of the business.
  • Practically minded: able to roll sleeves up and get stuck in.
