Job Overview

The Workshop/Maintenance Technician will operate under general oversight within a workshop setting, executing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on various equipment. This role involves preparing equipment to meet company standards safely for operational use.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance, along with diagnostics and repairs of equipment, adhering to work plans and meeting company quality and certification standards.
  • Assist in the assembly, setup, and disassembly of equipment as necessary.
  • May operate a forklift for the movement, loading, and unloading of equipment, provided the appropriate driving qualifications are held.
  • Perform necessary inspections of equipment and prepare relevant documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date.
  • Report all incidents and non-conformances following established procedures and timelines.
  • Update job packs and submit them to the foreman/supervisor at the conclusion of each work period.
  • Collaborate with various internal departments, such as logistics and stores, to ensure all required components and item movements are completed timely, aligning with operational needs.
  • Actively engage in morning meetings to discuss safety, maintenance status, and updates on mobilization/demobilization.
  • Participate in tool box talks and planning meetings as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean working environment by performing daily housekeeping of the workplace and tools.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and operations personnel to ensure all aspects of the work schedule are discussed, facilitating safe completion of maintenance and repair tasks.
Qualifications and Skills

1. Technical qualification in a relevant discipline.

2. Prior experience in a related field is preferred.
